Rosh Chodesh
Sunday, October 18, 2020 • 30 Tishrei 5781
12:30 PM - 2:00 PMLadies of Temple Emanu-El, please join Cantor Amanda via zoom on Sunday, October 18th at 12:30PM to celebrate Rosh Chodesh and the new month of Cheshvan. Although Cheshvan is often referred to as "Mar Cheshvan," or bitter Cheshvan because there are no holidays during this month, it is actually still rich in stories of our heritage. One story we read during this month is the story of Noah and the flood. For this Rosh Chodesh event, we will dive a little deeper to study the story of Noah's wife. What was her role in the story? Why wasn't she given a name? This Rosh Chodesh event will be full of learning, spirituality, and camaraderie. Plus, Cantor will provide a meaningful activity to accompany our session that you can do at home on your own time. Please consider joining us - all adult women in the congregation are invited. Please RSVP on our Temple website no later than Friday, October 16th at 3PM to receive the zoom link.
