While all our services are open to and encouraged for attendance of all ages, we also offer specific experiences for our youngest community members and their families.

Tot Shabbat

Tot Shabbat Friday night services are tailored to meet the needs of our families with young children (preschool through kindergarten – although older and younger siblings are invited as well). The service is held in the sanctuary on the third Friday of each month, starting at 6:00 PM. During the summer, Tot Shabbat is combined with the 6:30 PM Kabbalat Shabbat service on the patio. Led by Rabbi Dana Magat and Cantor Leah Shafritz, the service includes blessings and songs, stories and prayers, introducing the children to the sanctuary. Stay after services – Sisterhood provides a delicious, complimentary dinner.

PJ Shabbat

Want to come to Shabbat, but too tired to get dressed? No worries! We're hosting PJ Shabbat on Saturday mornings periodically throughout the school year, for families with kids 0 - 5 years old. Come roll out of bed, and join Rabbi Magat and Cantor Shafritz for Shabbat morning prayers, parading with the Torah, and storytime. The half hour 9:30 AM service is followed by brunch. Please check the calendar for dates offered.

Erev Shabbat Family Service

The first Friday of each month during the school year (September through May), services begin at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. The clergy are joined by our religious school classes who lead the majority of the service, and music is often provided by our Mazeltones youth choir. The May family service is dedicated to honoring the teachers of our Religious School and Preschool, who participate in the service as well. We’re proud of our students and staff and their participation and leadership in our worship.
