Come enjoy a secular new year experience and get ready for Tu B’Shvat (New Year for the trees).
10:00 am join for mini-minyan, songs and conversation with Clergy. Optional hike to follow.
We are excited to experience another Shabbat In Nature! This gives us an opportunity to come together on Shabbat, sing together and spend time outdoors in nature as a community. “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike.” John Muir
Location: Alum Rock Park, 15350 Penitencia Creek Road, San Jose. Meet at Quail Hollow Picnic area (pass the main entrance and look for Eagle Rock parking area and the Temple Emanu-El sign)
- Park opens at 8:00 am. Parking is $6.00 per vehicle (subject to change).
- We will meet in the Quail Hollow picnic area between 9:30 and 10:00 am
- Clergy led service at 10:00 am for Shabbat mini-minyan, songs, and discussion with clergy.
- Bring water and a vegetarian snack for yourself
- Please be vaccinated to participate (indicate in registration)
- Limited to 20 participants
- Optional hike following the service and discussion.
