There are many urgent needs that rightfully demand our attention here in the US. At the same time, given that Prime Minister Netanyahu is barreling forward with his annexation of major parts fo the occupied territories plans, we would like to offer this program to learn a bit and contribute constructively to the struggle for a better future for Israelis and Palestinians as well. Rabbi Straus, J Street Northwest Deputy Regional Director, based in Oakland, will discuss the new Israeli government's intention to annex parts of the West Bank; what that may mean for Israelis and Palestinians; and what those concerned by it can do to respond here in the US. He will explore both the politics of annexation in Israel and J Street's work on the issue here in the US.
