Kabbalat Shabbat with Shira Kline

Join us for a musical, meditative Shabbat evening service on Friday, February 28th, at 6:30PM with special guest artist, Shira Kline. Shira will bring us her own unique, creative service to inspire both personal reflection and communal bonding through music and meditation. Additionally, make sure to attend Religious School T'filah with your kids that Sunday, March 1st at 9:30AM, as Shira will lead our school in song and worship, as well.


Shira Kline, a.k.a. ShirLaLa, is a performance and ritual artist, recognized as
a revolutionary educator and named one of the new re-engineers of Jewish life. Her work is in the garden of life, to activate imagination and enliven Jewish life and prayer. Shira tours extensively locally and globally, performing concerts and presenting across the denominational spectrum. Raised in the world of music and the tradition of Torah, she blends words, story and music to create a rich experience for children and adults alike. She is on faculty for Hava NaShira, SLBC, and guest teaches for HUC-JIR’s Rabbinic and Cantorial seminary. A co-founder of Storahtelling and Lab/Shul NYC, Shira’s work as Director of Worship is to ignite expression of spirit and heart through the medium of the musical soul.
