7:00 PM - 9:00 PMJoin us for a
Community Town Hall on Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00 PM
(see flyer below for details and how to register).
Together with Santa Clara County leaders, we will discuss how Measure A (2025 Sales Tax Proposal) can help sustain the essential healthcare and social service programs that keep our community healthy, safe, and supported.
Without financial relief, our community faces:
-
Hospital & Clinic Vulnerability: Santa Clara Valley Healthcare currently operates four acute-care hospitals (including Valley Medical Center’s unique burn/trauma units) and a network of 15 clinics. Without replacement funding, further service downgrades or closures could jeopardize access to trauma care, stroke, and essential specialty services.
-
Food Security: County food programs and emergency distributions will shrink, creating higher demand on already strained community networks.
-
Support for Older Adults: Reduced homecare and case management programs will leave thousands of older adults more isolated and at risk.
-
Housing Stability: With fewer resources to prevent homelessness, more families will struggle to stay housed in one of the most expensive regions in the country.
-
Behavioral Health Services: Fewer treatment options and longer delays for mental health and substance use programs. Families in crisis will face even greater challenges finding help.
This moment requires all of us. Whether you’re a client, volunteer, donor, or community partner, the decisions being made now will determine the future of care in Santa Clara County.
With gratitude and urgency,
Susan Frazer, LCSW
President & CEO
