We begin the trail at the Mockingbird entrance (off Old Almaden Road) and begin the hike by the picnic tables where there's plenty of shade/tree cover.   From there, here are the connecting trails:  From Virl Norton to Hacienda trail and make a full circle loop back to the parking lot on the other side of the  parking lot.  It's about 3 miles.  (The first half of the hike has a steep incline, but once at the apex, it's mostly downhill).  We'll simply walk across the lot to meet at the picnic tables where we started.
