Join us for a series of three classes guiding the participants in writing their memoir. The sessions will be led by author and fellow sisterhood member, Jody Carr.
The structure includes sharing and discussion of assigned writing prompts, along with short lectures on subjects such as: who is your audience, the dilemma of truth and memory, and how to effectively tell a story,  etc.,  A suggested, but not required, reading list, will enhance your efforts in writing your memoir. Remembering one’s past, and writing about it, is both therapeutic and a deeply satisfying creative experience. (No prior writing experience necessary.)

The cost of the workshop is $18. Light refreshments will be served and copies will be made of your writing to share with the other participants.  Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page to reserve your spot.

Josephine Carr (aka “Jody”) will be leading the workshop. She holds degrees in English Literature from Mt. Holyoke and Bryn Mawr, with high school years in Kenya and Switzerland. She’s published five novels with traditional companies such as HarperPaperbacks and Penguin. Most recently, she’s been a faculty member at the Big Sur Children’s Writing Workshops and has offered an online Writer’s Digest presentation on connecting with one’s muse. She’s currently working on her own spiritual memoir.
