Purim Shpiel
Sunday, February 28, 2021 • 16 Adar 5781
10:00 AM - 10:30 AMHappy Purim!
Join the Rabbi, Cantor, Phil, and some of our Religious School students as they perform our Annual Purim Shpiel. Purim tells the story of the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, an Achaemenid Persian Empire official who was planning to kill all the Jews, as recounted in the Book of Esther. Haman was the royal vizier to King Ahasuerus, and he planned to kill all the Jews in the empire. His plans were foiled by Mordechai and Esther, his cousin and adopted daughter, who had become Queen of Persia.
Come watch the Clergy, Phil and your fellow Religious School students as they dress up as your favorite characters in some WILD costumes to tell OUR version of the Megillah. This will be a unique Shpiel that you don't want to miss.
