Our Spring 2010 Adult Education Flyer is available in pdf by clicking here
Temple Emanu-El is committed to lifelong learning for students of all ages. Topics in our Adult Education classes range from Jewish history, religion, and culture to parenting and personal growth. Our new Beit Midrash program is a multi-generational classroom experience open to adults and high school students in 11th and 12th grades. A variety of fresh topics will be explored in this forum, beginning with Rock ‘n Roll with the Rabbi and College Bound - Being Jewish on Campus.
Some classes venture beyond the traditional -- Open Dialogue with the Rabbi will offer an opportunity to discuss a wide range of relevant topics in an open forum throughout this spring -- but popular classes such as Hebrew language and Jewish ethics continue to be offered. Introduction to Judaism is taught by our Rabbi, Dana Magat, with Rabbi Melanie Aron of Shir Hadash for those interested in learning the basics and more about Judaism. Continuing lifecycle experiences, such as Adult b’nai mitzvah and adult confirmation programs are also available.
