Education

Jewish education is a top priority for our community as we provide children with a strengthened sense of Jewish identity and the foundation they need for a lifetime as committed Jewish adults. The Rabbi Joseph and Rosalie Gitin Religious School, housed in the state-of-the-art Levin Learning Center, offers classes for preschoolers through 12th grade. Our personalized Hebrew programs prepare students to lead the congregation in worship as they become a Bar and Bat Mitzvah and, later, Confirmands.

At Temple Emanu-El Preschool, the child comes first. We offer a quality multi-faceted, socially and academically developmental curriculum that balances developmental, academic and Judaica learning. Our students are working on kindergarten readiness skills such as ABC's and 123's in addition to science, music, art, and more. Our staff is well trained and we love what we do. Our school is community based and open to children of all faiths.

Temple Emanu-El provides a wide range of adult education opportunities, including weekly classes on a variety of subjects, monthly Torah study and adult B’nai Mitzvah preparation. Classes are open to all and designed to fit into busy schedules. Most classes are offered on Sunday mornings, convenient for adults with children in Religious School, and Wednesday evenings, at the same time as the Teen Jewish Studies program, as well as at other times, to allow many opportunities to participate.
